since i cant make a topic im going to have to put this here. is this mod ever going to come out? it seems pretty dead on the forums and i have seen elsewere someone saying you needed a model exporter but it has been released by relic already back in 07 so.... whats happening?

MonkeySoldier - February 17, 2009 10:19 AM (GMT)
The OE was released by relic about a year ago. But, it wasn't properly documented, so almost nobody knew how to get it working. No, we're not dead, but we are all busy. Yes, it is probably going to come out, except we don't know when.

so... your exporting/importing the models or your just adding countless new features because your bored until someone figures out how to export/import...? this mod has been going for what now 2, 3 years? just play with the exporter importer, im no expert but im assuming its not as simple as opening the 3D max file with the importer, then it converts it into the right .whatever or compiles it. if it isnt that simple... then what does it do?

No, we're not. Everybody's just busy, I myself got my final exams in 6 weeks. Other people are at university and don't got CoH/ any other program installed. It's not that we aren't making any progress at all, we are, but we don't always got much time.

1 year and 5 months.

We don't got the amount of time to 'play' with the Object Editor.
QUOTE (Relic Mod Wiki)

This - the first release of the Model Exporter tool for Relic's Company of Heroes - will allow modders to create textured meshes and put them into Company of Heroes.

Not only what monkey said, but playing around with the importer is not really the answer to getting the models ingame. Sure you could put the models in, but there would be no animation and everything would seem messed up... Although there is hope for this mod! Don't worry ;)
