Title: Aplication

This mod looks great and I would love to help anyway I can. I can do some basic models in 3ds max and I know how to UV map in 3ds max. I could probably work on some easy models you don't want to waste time doing and I could unwrap some models you already have. I've got an hour or 2 every day to do stuff like this. I could do any other easy tasks to that don't require knowledge of something.
Edit: It says I don't have permission to reply to this topic so I just edited this.
This is one of my best models I've created. I've done some guns before but I don't have images of them. I've been using 3ds max now for about 3/4 of a year.

I also know the poly count for games is low so I will work to that. And if my modeling isn't good enough I can unwrap UV's in 3ds max or do any other easy tasks to that don't require knowledge of something.
Edit2: I just did some work in 3ds max and made a 182 poly m24 sniper rifle.

could you post some images of stuff you've done?

Make the sniper rifle with a lot more detail, andkeep it in the range of 600 Triangles
If your more interested in doing vehicles, then do a relivant vehicle (perhaps a Bradley AFV) in the range of 500 triangles
Also you will need to use 3DSMax, not MilkShape, as MilkShape isnt at all supported by Relic's tools

Sniper details added:

This is made with 3dsmax.
Is this the bradley you're looking for?
Kaskad - December 8, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
Yes, and he meant 5,000 triangles, not 500.
Faha88 - December 8, 2007 04:04 AM (GMT)
yeah that would make sense
DeadKennyIsDead - December 8, 2007 04:49 AM (GMT)
Silly fast typing
Anyways, what specific sniper rifle is that, cause it looks to me like a synthesis between several, so yeah.

its an m24. I googled snipers and stuff about the US army and found that this one seemed to be the most used in the army.
Also in 3dsmax when I make a model for this game I am allowed to use smoothing groups right? That's what I'm using and I'm guessing thats what you used on your gun models.
Edit: Here's a start on the bradley. Very early model
DeadKennyIsDead - December 8, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
That would be the M24A3 right? Cause its not just the standard M24
Faha88 - December 8, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
Actually I was just basing it off 2 pictures I got fro googling m24. The first and second results.
Update on bradley:

Yes, you can use smoothing groups.

I was just wondering if I am part of this mod? Or am I still making these models to join?
Update: I think i've almost finished the bradley. Im not sure about the treads because they would have to be animated and I don't know how to make them in a good way to be animated. I have 1000 extra triangles to make the treads and some more details.
