Is it going to have a minigun and/or marines shooting out of it when it will deploy marines? Also, will it descend from the sky, appearing out of nowhere, or it will appear at the edge of the map, and then going to target location?

Both of those ideas are still being discussed actually.
We want it to come from the edge of the map, but Im not yet sure whether it is possible or not to do it that way

Are the US forces going to be Army or Marines? his question about the blackhawk brought it to mind. Going through all the stuff in the press releases, I was always under the impression it was Army.

You could have blackhawks as unit transports, allowing squads to be airlifted. You could also have 2 landing features, if the helo is dropping in a fielded area it could land letting its soldiers out. If its dropping soldiers in an urban area they could rope out of the side of the helo. ( It would have to be coded so the engine recognizes when to use which type). Then the blackhawk could also have an upgrade to be a gunship. ( kind of like the COH with halftracks)

Also, Spec ops use littlebird? rolleyes.gif

As far as I know, the BlackHawks are currently for transporting units. Its probally not possible to have two different animations for one action. So probally no 2 landing features. About the blackhawk gunship, not really sure. It would mean that the M60's will be replaced by über miniguns which have a rate of fire of around 4200 RPM (Rounds Per Minute). In other words, they spit out 4200 bullets (could be a bit less, but still) in 60 seconds (!). How in earth you want to balance that? Depends on what the SpecOps are. Delta Force would be dropped by Littlebird, and maybe SEAL's too, but they can also be dropped by BH.

Well the mini guns could balanced, look at the coh 50 cals. They shoot in small bursts and are barely used compared to there potential. :[

i agree with jammyramsta as that would give the troops being carried the chance to disembark and find cover, instead of them being raped as they jumped off.
