Application to help in Code department.

Re: To the Mod Team at Modern Combat CODE Application

Hi guys,
my name is Jeff alias SirPsychoJ. Ive been talking to darkbladecr recently
on issues relating to COH. He has mentioned to me that you seek some extra helping hands
in the coding department on your impressive COH Modern Combat Mod. I would like to offer
my help in this area as I have a good understanding of code and its power. But I will be
honest and state that i dont know everyhting there is about it, as many wouldnt i suspect,
but this is more what can i do rather than cant so I will give you some insight into that.

I can do all your regular coh coding, from Scar maps that include spawnings, waypoints, race related
options that affect abilities/units etc. Mission objectives, NIS making and also know how to
activate that at anytime ingame, either through markers or time related options. I also know how to
activate these NIS animations into units ingame, which talking to darkbladecr seems to be
an area of interest. As ive made code to have planes drop units off before turning around on runway
then taking off and exiting offmap. DarkBladecr and myself have spoken about many possibilites of
combining these animations along with his talent in animations of what could be achieved.
I often like the challenge of trying new things that noone else does, whether it useable or not,
I like to see if it can be done never the less through code and modding. An example to this maybe
something like, I wanted some animals free roaming in my maps. So i modded a esselshrek to my likening,
alpha'd out the remaining weapon, added some of my code and now have free roaming mules in my maps,
trivial it may be, but more to the point, another possibility that it can be done. I'm always looking
for new ways to use code and its power. At present I'm involed with the ZombieMod, doing all the code
for them. And recently started my own BandOfBrothers mod, so you may think I have my hands full, but I
am willing to help and allocate my time also to helping with your code. I have also been informed
you have others in this area already working which is great news and I am happy to work along side any
of your team. So as far as SCAR code goes, I feel I could definately contribute to your team, and if so,
I also realise the importance of ethics and the Rules applied if I am accepted to help. I also know how
to mod, map making, UI icons, some skinning, sound files, speech files, pretty well all areas involved
in making a decent mod. I uderstand these area's are fairly covered by your team but felt they needed
mentioning anyway. So to summarize up, I would like to join your team in the department of code, and help
in any way possible you see fit, I appreciate the opportunity to do so and will wait for a reply on
your teams decision,
Thnx Jeff ( SirPsychoJ)

Hello SirPsycho.
DB has informed me, that he is in contact with you and that you will probably apply. I was looking forward to it and now that i read your application i must say i am impressed. Very clear description of your experience and goals. That's quite important in an area like coding, where structure is everything.

To put it short, you're in =)

You'll get the staff mask soon, please sign the NDA in the NDA forum as your first action. Second shohuld be a post of your contacts in the private discussion sticky. I hope i can catch you on a more direct connection, via MSN or another messengaer that you use, so we can clear up the most important things and you can start working as you want =)
